In The Begginning

Just joking. But kind of not really. The decision to go into business yourself when there is a wealth of knowledge resources and all sorts of decisions to make before even stepping out can be really overwhelming. If you don’t think big, don’t wake up dreaming big you are only really limiting your own potential.

I enjoy helping people. At the very core of my existence it’s what i feel i do best. I’m a giver. And that has lead me to discover that i can actually give and help people and their businesses by making sure their accounts, paperwork, tax obligations, payroll needs, assistant needs, all these needs can be met. I set out to design a business that values what the client values, that eases the stress of paperwork so the client focuses on the growth of their business.

I’ve lived and worked in Gisborne for over 10 years. Doing all sorts of jobs, but finally settling into an admin role which kind of developed into a passion for systems, organisation, numbers, and software. Office manager doesn’t sound that exciting but with the right attitude its an adventure. There’s so much to learn, legalities change all the time, entitlements and laws are always changing and of course people change too. I studied in my own time to become a Certified Bookkeeper. I also completed a Level 4 Business course and sat my Xero and Xero Payroll Certs. Readying myself to become a business owner.

I broke my foot and that actually pushed me further along the path of business ownership, a lot of time was spent in bed with my foot up so i did what most people would do and researched until i found things that sat right with me. I tried to apply things i had already learnt about business and marketing and placement etc and finally settled on a few avenues to get started.

Why am i telling you all this? I assume if you got this far you want to know what the business stands for. Common Sense (cents) is a great attribute to have. For your own business you need to trust someone who has common sense who sees the same value you value in your business, who commits to and understands what you want and need. That’s my vision that’s my principle. I want to help businesses reach their potential, explore new systems and processes that will streamline the way they do business, the way they see their business. It’s all in the numbers, and that’s what a great bookkeeper does.
